Welcome to Squamscott Community Commons

Picture a central gathering place offering recreation for all ages; teen and young adult enrichment; health and wellness; youth educational, and family programs that keep our communities strong.  Envision a new community – oriented facility that will serve as home to multiple local non-profits all under one roof at a single location.  This is the new Squamscott Community Commons – a new “community living room” where renewed and strengthened community spirit will soon take root.

Squamscott Community Commons, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, will work to raise the financial resources to construct a new 80,000 square foot multi-tenant, non-profit community center that will serve over 55,000 residents in the Seacoast region.  The site is located on a 10 acre parcel abutting 36 acres of conservation land and the Little River in Exeter.  Planned walking trails adjacent to the new facility will offer public and recreational access.  The building will integrate high-performance, sustainable design features that will reduce energy and operating costs, thus saving the tenant agencies money so that they can focus on what they do best – deliver cost-effective and needed programs and services to the community.
